Michael and Tori both grew up in Greeley, Colorado. Michael was born there and Tori was born in Fort Collins. They grew up only 5 minutes from each other but did not "officially meet" until 2021 after Michael had been asking their mutual friends to introduce them for a few months. Michael had known Tori's older brother and even worked for her Dad at Roche Constructors one summer in College. He attended UNC and Tori attended UCCS both playing their respective sports, football and basketball. Michael pursued his flying career in Las Vegas and Tori moved to Germany and Australia after college to continue to play basketball professionally. Eventually, the timing was perfect when they both were back in Northern Colorado and they have been together ever since.

Together they have traveled to 8 countries so far and their favorite places are Moraine Lake in Canada and Breckenridge, Colorado where Michael proposed on Boreas Pass with their dog, Izzo. Izzo is a very special family member and you will see him at the wedding!
