Just another Marquette University love story...

We met in the on-campus apartment complex, Renee Row, where we lived across the hall from each other. The guy across the hall wishing the “girl next door” would give him a chance. It is hard to imagine how else we would have found each other if it wasn’t for the lack of functioning cable TV as the perfect excuse to crash the boys’ apartment to watch an episode of the Bachelor or brief moments in passing on the staircase going to class. We can thank our roommates for finding any and every excuse to spend time together. We were inseparable from the beginning – the start of a lifelong friendship. Little did we know that our connection would develop into so much more. While we walked our own paths in school and life, the roads never strayed too far from each other. After the span of two years, we decided to start dating.

We found a place to grow our roots in Milwaukee together. We share an apartment with our rescue dog, Maui, who is a mix between a Border Collie and a Blue Heeler. She is our loyal companion – everywhere we go, she wants to join. The three of us are a pack and she herds us together along the way. Our favorite way to spend our time is cooking dinner while playing our Italian cooking music playlist. Singing & dancing in the kitchen, opening a bottle of wine, and dropping crumbs on the floor for Maui to steal. Our life together is easygoing and fun loving; not a day goes by without one of us laughing (mostly Tori at her own jokes.)

On October 5th, 2024, we will be commemorating our love at the Milwaukee Athletic Club – a special place just mere blocks away from our home and where Conrad family ties have already been sewn nearly 30 years ago.

We can’t wait to celebrate our love and share a piece of our neighborhood with you.
