Our Story

It started with Quinn shooting his shot.. and Tori blocking it. A classic college athletics love story.

Tori and Quinn met at the famous Esso Club in Clemson, SC at the Clemson Athletics Holiday Party in 2022. Quinn first approached Tori at the party and invited her to play in the time-honored bar game of flip cup with others. Tori, knowing what Quinn was up to, said, “no thank you.”

Tori, intrigued, then made her move later in the night to find Quinn among a group of mutual friends. Next thing she knew, Quinn invited her to attend another coach’s son’s birthday party the next day and she said yes!

After small talking while watching a local “magician” at the birthday party, Tori and Quinn went to get coffee.

A couple days later, they went on their first date. Tori was very adamant to a friend that she did not want to do any “activities” such as bowling or axe throwing on this date. She was so worried he would take her to one of these places. She only wanted to “go to a brewery and then dinner.” Well, wouldn’t you know it, that’s exactly what Quinn had planned.

Quinn insisted on picking Tori up at her front door. A very sweet thing to do unless you’re Tori and never use your front door so you struggle to lock it making it very awkward then just tell your date to meet you out in the driveway so you can go through the garage…

Anyways, after picking Tori up, Quinn told her he made a reservation but first, they would go to a brewery. Music to Tori’s stubborn ears.

They spent hours talking. The night flew by and walking out of the restaurant, Tori knew that Quinn was special (especially after he did the sidewalk thing where he moved to the street side). As they were approaching the car Quinn was already trying to figure out when he could see Tori again.

The next day, they went to a brewery and played cards (a favorite activity between the two over the last couple years). Then they both drove separately to Missouri and Wisconsin to spend winter break with their families.

Spending a lot of time talking on the phone over break, they went on date number three right after they returned to Clemson. From there, the two found themselves hanging out more and with ease, committed to a relationship with one another.

It has been two and a half wonderful years together and Tori and Quinn look forward to a lifetime together of joy, family, friendship, and so much more.

Tori and Quinn are overwhelmed with gratitude at the amount of love from family and friends in support of their union and can’t wait to celebrate together!
