Despite going to high school all four years together, this story didnt start until April of 2019. In April, John and Tori followed each other on Instagram. Within one day, John reached out to Tori and wished a “Happy birthday!” and proceeded so ask her out for drinks to celebrate. Arrangements were made and they met up at a Green Turtle for drinks and food. After they finished up there they headed over to Main Event to play some arcade games and a round of air hockey. Tori had a feeling this was going to be something more when for the first time in years, a guy did not let her win a game of air hockey; she had met her match. They proceeded to go on lots of dates from visits to Jenkinsons Boardwalk, the National Aquarium, Brew at the Zoo events, lots of Longwood Gardens Trips, of course haunted houses, and comedy shows including Adam Sandler (their favorite). It took awhile for them to make everything official, but date by date they both fell for one another.


On December 24th, 2022 at a Patricks Christmas Eve party, John had formulated a plan with her family to propose. They played the usual White Elephant gift exchange, Tori picked her number out of a bowl, 1 she immediately went to John and said, People are going to be so mad, I had number 1 last year! John laughed, he picked his number out of the bowl, 19 the last number. Tori asked John what he got, he told her, and she immediately said, Okay, now people are really going to think something is up, but well win something good! (since we happened to have the two best numbers for the game). The game proceeded as usual, John, being last, went up and looked under the tree, picked up a small square box, turned around and started a speech. Everyone was shocked, John got down on one knee and asked Tori to marry him to which she excitedly said yes!. Theyve been happily traveling and planning their dream Halloween wedding ever since.
