If you were to ask us for our story, there are a few places where we could begin.

To some, to say that our story began at a bar in Lakewood after a Catholic Young Adult group would make sense...Matt trying his best to impress Torie while talking about bourbon was the first real conversation that we had.

To others, being friends and seeing each other on Sunday nights at Catching Fire would seem like the more genuine start to our story...Torie describing her family's travels to Stone Harbor and summer plans as Matt tried to make the classic conversation about tennis racquets during the U.S. Open.

Our first date at the Rock Hall for Matt's Christmas work party is where we'd say things really started. It’s when we both knew that our intention would be for this to go somewhere if we hit it off - and we did.

Our year of dating wasn't the easiest year of either of our lives, but it was the one where we discovered that we are for each other the best reflection that we have encountered of God's unconditional love for us. It was a year of continuously deepening our love for one another, clinging to each other in each trial that came our way, and learning what sacrificial love really is - as we strive to be Christ to each other each and every day.

Matt proposed this past March and we began our season of engagement, where despite all of the "to-dos," we await our wedding day with so much joy and excitement.

Ultimately, our story is still just beginning. We found each other at a point in our lives where God knew what we needed and chose to bless us with each other. We trust that His plan for our lives is far greater than anything we could ever imagine - we have witnessed this in His bringing us together and know that we will continue to witness this as our future unfolds.
