Our Wedding

We first met in 2018 at Auburn University through a graduate program called DICE. Back then, our worlds only brushed against each other — quick smiles, group conversations, and no clue what the future had in store. Fast forward to 2023, when Torrey sent me a message on Instagram that would change everything. What began as a simple hello quickly became long talks, shared dreams, and the realization that we both wanted something real, something lasting. From there, our story unfolded like it was always meant to — full of adventure, laughter, and a little bit of country charm. We’ve traveled to new places (our first trip was to New York), learned to hunt side by side, and cooked meals that make our family smile and shake their heads (IYKYK). In 2024, we bought our first home together — a place where love fills every corner and the future feels wide open. Along the way, we’ve built a beautiful family with our daughter, Cymone, and our sweet baby boy, born in July 2025. Now, we can’t wait to step into forever, hand in hand, surrounded by the people who’ve loved and supported us every step of the way.

Zack has been close friends with Torrey since their junior year of high school. Although life took them in different directions when Zack joined the Navy and left Alabama, their bond never faded. Torrey remains one of the few people Zack trusts most—someone he’d choose without hesitation to carry him to rest. We’re honored to have Zack stand beside Torrey on our wedding day.

Aja is the groom’s little sister and a proud mama to three beautiful girls—Aubree, Gianna, and Lily (arriving soon). She is incredibly honored and excited to be part of the union of Torrey and Destiny and to celebrate this special moment with them. #TheStrongWedding

We are so excited to celebrate with you in New Orleans! For your convenience, we’ve listed several hotel options located near our wedding venues, primarily in the Metairie and Kenner areas. These locations offer a quieter stay with easy access to the venue and are approximately 15–20 minutes from downtown New Orleans. If you’re craving some turkey necks and crawfish, this is one of our favorite places to grab it! In particular, Destiny’s favorite place to get turkey necks! They have good potatoes and eggs as well. 

Soul’s Seafood Market

I’m torrey’s favorite places to get crawfish that he and Destiny love to go every time they’re in New Orleans. Definitely have to be in season for crawfish, but hands-down, their favorite crawfish spot.

Cajun Seafood

One of our absolute favorite places to get a snow cream! All the flavors are so unique. If you need any recommendations, ask Torrey or me—we’ve got a few favorites to share. This is a unique place to, the only one of its kind! Look up the story behind it, we found them by watching the food show on Netflix! Check them out. 

Hansen’s Sno-Bliz

Hands-down the best and original pizza in town, plus really good salad and pasta. If you’re in the mood for Italian food done right, this is a must-try!

Katie’s Restaurant & Bar

One of our go-to breakfast and brunch spots. If you want a true New Orleans-style breakfast, this is where you need to go!

Stanley

Famous for the original New Orleans muffuletta—an absolute must-try! Great for a quick bite while exploring the French Quarter.

Central Grocery & Deli

No trip to New Orleans is complete without experiencing the vibrant nightlife: 	•	French Quarter: Wander through historic streets, enjoy live jazz, and explore unique shops. 	•	Bourbon Street: Known for its lively bars, neon lights, and unforgettable atmosphere.
