Tracey and Daniel met in July of 2023 after talking online for several weeks. They decided to meet at a local chain, the Village Pub. When the time came for their first date, they texted each other to say they had arrived, only to realize they were at two different locations. Who knew there were two Village Pubs?! Daniel then drove to meet Tracey to salvage their date.

The dinner was originally planned to be short, and Tracey even told Daniel that she had to leave at a certain time to help her friend study. But things were going well and they lost track of time. To the point where Tracey’s mother was texting frantically wondering why she wasn’t home yet.

When it came time to leave, the conversation continued in the parking lot. They stood by Tracey’s car and exchanged an awkward goodbye hug. They both went and sat in their cars, but Daniel got out of his car after brief contemplation, and approached Traceys car just as she was about to pull away. He had a really good time and he didnt want Tracey to feel like that wasn’t the case, so he told her that he did, and asked if he could kiss her. Of course, she had a good time as well and said yes!

Daniel and Tracey were very open about discussing future plans and expectations in the relationship, and many other details. When marriage came up, it was definitely something they both agreed they wanted. In fact, most things that one person wanted, the other did as well. It was only when Tracey went away on vacation to Disney World that they realized they didn’t like being apart, and knew they wanted to be together forever.

So, soon after, Daniel started planning the engagement. Originally planning it with one of Tracey’s friends, but she seemed to be catching on and it was proving hard to surprise her. Catching wind of this, Tracey’s father pulled them aside and said he wanted in on the proposal. So a new plan was made to surprise Tracey with an engagement at their holiday party. Tracey’s mother made a big speech, and then drew everyone’s attention to Daniel who revealed an ugly Christmas sweater asking Tracey to marry him. Of course Tracey said yes and the wedding planning begun.
