Tracie and Mamuzo met for the first time in the fall of 2019. As it turns out, Mamuzo had been praying to find his partner, and he felt strongly that it was Tracie. Meanwhile, Tracie was amazed at how outgoing, funny, and sweet Mamuzo was. She knew he was one-of-a-kind.

Mamuzo proposed not long after. It was a surprise marriage proposal on Valentine's Day (February 14, 2020) at Public Central House in downtown Hopkinton. Tracie was having dinner with her friend Elena, when Mamuzo showed up and got down on one knee. It was very sweet. Of course, everyone was a bit nervous about the couple moving fast, but give it a few minutes with Mamuzo and you will understand why she said yes. :-)

Tracie and Mamuzo moved in together shortly thereafter. Mamuzo had been living in Nashua, NH and moved down to Massachusetts.

While up in Nashua, Mamuzo attended Gate City Church and Tracie would join him. The two of them really liked the church, so this is where they wanted to get married. Now, living in MA, they still travel to Nashua to attend Gate City Church. They make a day of it.

A twist: Tracie and Mamuzo decided to get married on paper on April 29, 2021 at Holliston Town Hall. This was decided because the couple was living together before being married, which is a bit of a no-no (a sin), and having a church ceremony was important to them. The church agreed to a ceremony in September with everyone's support.

September 18th in Nashua is going to be a fun day!
