What should I wear to the wedding?
We would appreciate it if you could join us in garden attire/semi-formal or formal! See below for an example picture of the vibes we envision. However, we encourage you to wear what you are comfortable with or what you have on hand! September can be warm think 70s to 80s (21C- 26C) but nights can be cold 50s-60s (10C-16C)! Wear comfortable shoes, for ladies flats/wedges/block heels would be appropriate. The driveway is made up of gravel and parking is made of grass. There will be about 3-15 minutes of walking on grass and through wildflowers to go to and from the parking, ceremony, and reception. For those of our guests unable to walk long distances please let us know and we can have something arranged.
What is the weather like in September?
September in the Midwest can be warm 70s-80s (21C-26C) in the afternoon but chilly at night 50s-60s (10C-16C) please bring sunglasses during the day and a sweater at night to keep warm!
Can I bring a date (plus one) or my child to the wedding?
Unfortunately, due to budget and space limitations, we simply cannot afford for all of our lovely guests to bring a guest of their own or their child.
Regretfully, unless they are specifically named on the invitation please do not bring a plus one or your little kiddos. Thank you so much for understanding!
How far is the venue from the hotel?
The Abbey will be the best hotel to stay at and will be where Tracy & Mario are staying. The venue is located about 5 minutes away from The Abbey and Uber does service the venue. Overnight parking at the venue is allowed if you decide to uber back to the hotel! Cars would need to be out by 10AM Sunday 9/22/24.
What type of food + drinks will be served?
The food will be buffet style entrees & appetizers. Gluten free and vegetarian options available for appetizers and dinner. There is no open bar, but we will be providing our favorite beers, seltzers, and wine for the toast along with soda + water! Do not bring outside alcohol!
Will there be high chairs?
There will be regular adult sized garden chairs at the reception, please plan accordingly for kiddos that will be in attendance.
