Our Stories

Picture of Our Stories

His version - So these wedding website thingies ask you to write some cute thing about how the couple met. We thought it would be fun to each write our own version for your entertainment :)

I met Tracy through a mutual friend (thanks Rose!), and well, she wasnt that into me... Thats a pretty bad start, but its true.

Heres the good news: we quickly found out that we both like cats, food, beer, exercise, and cars, and hanging out with friends.. and you get the point. Long story short, we have a lot in common. And while shes better than me at many things (namely being timely, and certainly planning), I guess I was at least better at hedging my bet that wed get along in the long run.

And long run it was, it took me almost 10 years to propose to her but here we are, getting married (like adults!). Man that still sounds really weird to say...

In all seriousness, were really stoked to finally tie the knot, and even more so to be able to do it by having every single one of you being a part of our wedding. I just have one ask, and one ask only from each and every one of you. Lets have a great fing time. We cant wait to see you!

Her version - JJ and I met through a mutual friend (shout out to Rose) who I worked with at the time, and JJ knew from school. I remember standing at the desk at the salon (Cheryl if you’re reading this, I’m sure we were also doing something useful 🤣) and Rose pulled up his Facebook page, my first sight of him was his profile picture holding his body weight horizontal against a fireman’s pole. I remember my initial thought was something like, “Ok, cool he looks like a good time.” And I was sold when Rose told me his redeeming interests included working out and cars.

Like most things in my life, I like to weigh out pros and cons and take my time on big decisions. So fast forward about 6 months of dating to the day I confirmed I would officially be his girlfriend (after being asked a few times over the months prior). Who wouldn’t want to be sure? After all, I wasn’t about to get in a relationship if I didn’t think it could go the distance. With that being said, JJ is an amazing human I love experiencing life with, and I cannot wait to call him my husband.

So, lots of laughs, travel, beers, good times, bad times, a cat, a house, and a decade later - we’re ready for the next chapter in our lives ❤️
