Q + A

ATTIRE

The bridal party and families will be wearing semi-formal wedding attire. We encourage you to come in semi-formal to dressy casual or whatever you're most comfortable wearing to participate in the celebration. If comfortable and dressy is good jeans and your best cowboy boots, wear that!

Address

Where should I send cards of congratulations or gifts?

While your presence at our wedding events is a gift in itself, we greatly appreciate those that may like to send cards of congratulations and gifts. For shipping purposes, please use the following mailing address: Ella McAlexander • 3542 40th Street • Grinnell, Iowa 50112

ALCOHOL POLICY

Alcoholic beverages are not provided. Wine and beer (or the like) may be brought. No hard liquor permitted. Should you choose to bring alcoholic beverages, we ask that you respect the legal drinking age and drink responsibly. There will be a cooler availiable for any contributions if you choose to share.

CHILDREN

Are children allowed at events?

Yes, we welcome their presence. We do ask that you remove them temporarily from the ceremony or reception during key elements if they are unhappy and/or distractingly "vocal" . We look forward to having the kids join us on the dance floor, too.

Should we submit a RSVP for our children?

Yes. There will be a seating chart for the reception. Please RSVP for each of your children by name so we can assign them a seat and plan for their presence. It will be most helpful if you bring along your own booster seat if needed.

COLORS

The wedding palette includes burgundy, dusty rose, gold, and charcoal gray along with shades typical of autumn in Iowa.

Hotel Check-In

Check-in time at the hotel is 3:00 p.m., the same time the ceremony begins in Montezuma. Ceremony guests will have time to check into the hotel after the ceremony and before the reception. You do not need to worry about checking in early. Please see additional details on the hotel block under the Travel menu.
