It all started with Trang stalking Kevin on Facebook!

Using his weakness of love for Motorbikes to get him hooked in conversation. Conversations that lasted into the early hours of the morning for many days, with one particular exchange floating the idea about going on a bike trip together (Trang's Idea). This passing comment, grew and grew until we decided that we take the plunge and go on a trip together on January first (this was on December 19th), a trip Kevin was already planning, to visit an Orphanage near Vung Tau.

The next few days, they talked more frequently and started to plan their trip. As the day of the trip grew closer, Kevin began to worry about spending two days with someone he had never met. Trang then came up with an amazing idea for a first date. She suggested that they meet at a mall in the city on 23rd December at 6pm on the 3rd floor. If they didn't find each other within 30mins it wasn't to be... if they did find each other, the first person to message the other with a description of what they were wearing, won and the other paid for dinner

The competitive side in Kevin, every strong, was out to win! Moving through the mall like he was on a special ops mission, despite standing out like a sore thumb, eventually saw Trang staring right at him, Trang (possibly feeling let down by first impressions) dove behind a wall but Kevin got in the message first. "Grandma cardigan, ugly dress and the worst shoes I've ever seen on a woman" not Kevin's exact message but certainly his thoughts.

They met and Trang's first impressions were that Kevin was very cold. Kevin's first impressions were, "wow she is cute, but what the hell is she wearing?"

They then went for a coffee and discussed the plan for the evening. The more time they spoke the easier the conversation became. So much so they went for an Italian dinner and then to the cinema. Spiderman was about the only choice at the Cinema and Trang being the amazing person she is, having already seen it, said nothing and agreed to watch it again. (The movie was awful but the company was perfect)

By the end of the movie, they both knew there was a connection and didn't want the night to end. They decided to extend the night with a bike ride around the city and then said their goodbye's.

They both immediately started messaging each other once arriving home and put the plans for the trip in motion.

The 1st of January arrived, Kevin travelled to Trang's house to pick her up, along with a number of donations for the Orphanage in Vung Tau.

The trip didn't go to plan as we got a flat tyre and ended up stuck in a small city for a few hours, which in hindsight was great, as we managed to talk more and ease the tension.

We arrived at the Orphanage and both really appreciated each others passion for charity.

Needless to say the rest of the weekend went well, we returned home and have not left each other's side since. Within two months Trang had practically moved into Kevin's home, the first exchange of "I love you's" shortly followed and they were now in a beautiful relationship. Oh, and not to forget, after a short period of time and lots of guilt trips about how much she missed her cat Simba, she decided to move him in also. Trang then decided to help train another cat for "a friend". This was supposed to be just for two months, Princess, the second cat, never left!!!

"Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me"

Fast forward a year and a half, Kevin already knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Trang. The most positive, lovable, caring, considerate person he had ever met. They planned a trip to Bali in October 2023 for Kevin's birthday, with a group of close friends. Kevin was planning to ask Trang to spend the rest of her life with him on this trip, having already asked Trang's parents for permission and purchasing a ring, all was left was to get down on one knee and ask the big question.

"Trang, I love you more than words can say, you make me the happiest person in the world, a better person, a calmer and more considerate person and I want to spend the rest of my life trying to make you as happy as you make me. Will you marry me?"

Trang, having the sense of humour she has, thought it would be funny to leave Kevin hanging, (for what he felt was about 5 mins) before giving a resounding YESSSSSSS!!!!
