Our Wedding

Our story began on May 23, 2019, when Lindsay showed off her dog by posting a photo on her Instagram story, like she often does. Travis, who had long thought that Lindsay was way out of his league, sheepishly told her that she had a cute dog. This led to their first date on June 8, 2019, and a summer romance consisting of concerts and days on the lake. With Travis having to return back to law school at Notre Dame, the pair decided that long-distance would be no match for them. Over the next 7 months, Lindsay and Travis navigated a long-distance relationship. With Lindsay working a full-time schedule, their time together was primarily limited to weekend visits at Notre Dame where they loved to walk the beautiful campus and try the different restaurants South Bend offers. In March 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic sent Travis back to Michigan and date nights turned into home-cooked meals, baking desserts, and building blanket forts in the basement to watch movies. Fall 2020 brought Lindsay new challenges of counseling children through the pandemic, and Travis entered his final year of law school, graduating in May 2021. While Lindsay enjoyed a relaxing summer, Travis was studying for the Bar Exam, and secretly planning their engagement. On August 13th, 2021, Travis took Lindsay to a beautiful surprise picnic in a park, knelt down on one knee, and asked the woman of his dreams if she would marry him. And obviously, since you are reading this, she said, "Yes!" Travis and Lindsay accepted new jobs and purchased their first home together, a cozy bungalow in Royal Oak, Michigan. They are so excited to explore their new city, build a life together, and be in love for the rest of their lives.
