Minutes to interstates, downtown Davenport, the village of East Davenport, shopping & hospitals. Each bedroom has a queen bed. You will have the entire house to yourself. 2 bedrooms. 1 full bathroom. Designated office space. Spacious living room with an electric fireplace. Full kitchen with a 4 person dining space. Patio area with small love seat & 2 additional chairs. The backyard is fenced. The home is located at the end of a cul de sac with driveway parking, cul de sac parking, and an attached 1 car garage.
Summary:
Enjoy a stay in a unique, remodeled space nearby all amenities of town, within a couple blocks of St Ambrose University, where both hosts attended. This first-floor apt is nearby the beautiful Vanderveer park, as well as many shopping/dining options. Downtown Davenport, The Mississippi River, The Village of East Davenport, & our office are all within minutes. Having lived in this neighborhood for many years, we know you’ll love your new home away from home!
The Space:
This space was a former upholstery shop that operated for many years, and has been renovated into a gorgeous apartment! The large south facing window served as the display area for the shop where newly upholstered furniture would be displayed. The windows have full length curtains for your privacy and keeping light out.
This spacious apartment has a luxurious feel having been completely renovated, and has brand new stainless appliances .This home is along Locust Street, but thanks to all new insulation and drywall, the noise level is VERY low for being next to a busy street.
This home has two full size beds, and a queen sized futon. The bedroom has room darkening shades. There are 4 steps up to the bedroom.
Guest Access:
There is free parking available on the street right next to the apartment. we don't recommend guests park in the driveway next to the building due to steepness and uneven pavement.
The Neighborhood:
This Airbnb is in a residential neighborhood nearby St. Ambrose University, and located along Locust Street. Both hosts lived In the neighborhood during college.
Getting Around:
Public transportation is available next to SAU, and cab companies as well as Ride Sharing apps like Uber are also available. You could also bike to many places from here. Otherwise, it is easy to get around by car in and around Davenport.
Other Things to Note:
This apartment is part of a duplex. Tenants are completely vetted by the property management company and must pass certain requirements. As far as we know, there isn't any transfer of noise through the walls and we've not had any complaints of noise from guests.
There are a couple of steps into the apartment, and then 3-4 steps up to the bedroom.
Note - this Airbnb does not provide "breakfast" but we do offer complimentary snack bars and coffee with cream.
Interaction with Guests:
We are local hosts, but we rely on property managers for maintenance and repair. We can be onsite if absolutely necessary, but otherwise you most likely will not see us and we will interact mostly thru the app, or call/text if needed!
