Their story begins in our 8th grade year at Rapid Run Middle School. As seen in the photos section they knew of each other at this time starting with their trip to Washington DC. Macy claims her first real experience with Trent was watching him solve his Rubiks Cube on the plane and being in awe of his sheer intelligence and skills. Trent may exaggerate that last bit. but there is a nugget of truth there regarding their time together. This time allowed the two of them to exchange contact information and begin texting and getting to know each other more. Unfortunately, Trent was blind to this relationship and things did not pan out for a couple years. That was until Trent got wise and reached out again to see if Macy would give him a chance again. Luckily for Trent she did! This was sophomore year at Oak Hills High School and the true start of their love. They talked for about 100 days (this was their snap streak when Trent decided to ask Macy out) and then the question came: Will you be my Chic?. Trent worked at Chick-Fil-A and when he wanted to ask Macy out he wrote that question on a nugget box to be delivered to her by hand. Luckily Macy was feeling generous that day and told Trent she would love to be his girlfriend. This start to an amazing relationship is nothing short of cheesy but something Trent is proud of and something Macy cherishes to this day. High school was fun for these two. They did sports together, they had dances together, they shared a friend group, and best of all they had great families to help them learn to grow together and into young adults. Graduating high school together was a special experience and the first of many big milestones they have shared. Following high school they both went to the University of Cincinnati and grew closer and stronger together. Having each other in a new world was beneficial as they had someone to lean on no matter what and pushed them to learn how to problem solve together, along with other life lessons. Trent and Macy thoroughly enjoyed college together. Doing all the football games, fraternity events, and overall learning and growing as adults. Living on their own was a fun new experience and even taught Trent how to do the dishes, sorta. Trent had one other special event he wanted to organize for Macy and that was to Lavalier her at his fraternity. This is the process of giving up your letters to the woman you love. He had to convince his fraternity to approve this motion (which was not hard because everyone loved Macy and knew they would marry someday). The fraternity approved and Trent had the honor of singing to her at the Nashville formal to ask her to accept this honor. This was such a fun experience for these two as they furthered their bond and showed the world their intentions. As they went on to hit yet another milestone (graduating college) a lot more of life came into question. Trent and Macy for the first time had no true next step and could make any decision they wanted. They decided to move to Covington and Trent followed his father and brother into the software field while Macy utilized her psychology degree to go into the social work field. This decision was made with the thought in mind that Macy would soon follow her dream of being a flight attendant. As they lived in Covington and learned to live together Trent finally got Macys approval to think about engagement. Trent had wanted to for a long time but they waited for life to be a little more stable. Trent bought a ring and asked Chris (Macys father) for his blessing on their marriage. He was ecstatic to hear this news and gave his blessing over a nice dinner. The news was soon followed but Macy getting her break as a Flight Attendant as she was offered a job at American Airlines starting ASAP. This was an interesting test on their relationship since Macy had to leave for 6 weeks to live and train in Dallas, TX. Trent continued to work and talk when he could but she was busy and focusing on this important time in her life. Trent was always so proud to hear her succeed and push her to get through this tough training. She excelled and graduated in June which marked the start of a new adventure! Macy was informed two weeks prior to graduation that she would be based in Charlotte, NC. This move would be big for these two as they have never lived more than a stones throw away from home. This decision to move together embodies their belief in each other and the fact that they are always a team. It is one of their favorite traits of their relationship. Moving to Charlotte has had its own challenges the same as switching jobs, but they have each other and that is all that matters. The latest milestone in their lives has been getting engaged. It was a beautiful engagement in Macys favorite place on Earth, Cannon Beach. OR. Macy has visited the Oregon coast her whole life to visit her family from Washington state. Many family members made the trip for this surprise engagement including most of Macys moms side, Trents parents, Macys dad and step-mom, and her step-brother Jake and his girlfriend Kate. It was so special and so kind of everyone to take their time to celebrate these two as they marked yet another fantastic milestone. Life has been good to these two and the reason is nothing else other than their amazing families. Trent and Macy are so excited to have everyone join them on their special day and cant wait to add another milestone to their list!
