On December 31st, 2019, Trey and Lizzie found themselves at the same house party for a New Years Eve celebration. Trey immediately started to put on the moves, with little success. Lizzie was not interested, at the time. Trey did not take this as defeat, but only made him try harder. For months (3 to be exact), Trey kept messaging and reaching out to Lizzie to let him take her out on a date. Finally, after months of trying, Lizzie agreed to go on a date with Trey on March (not Sure) 2020 which consisted of Smokin' Herford takeout and a drive around the area. They continued to go on dates until Trey FINALLY made it official and asked Lizzie to be his girlfriend on April 18th, 2020. The rest is history.

November 25th, 2022

Trey pulled off the ultimate surprise and asked me to marry him on top of a hill in his grandfathers pasture that overlooks the scenery of Peterson, IA. Earlier that day, I was with my sister, Katie, and Trey was helping Ned rake leaves. Trey decided it was a nice day to ride side by sides and asked me to tell Katie the plan to go for a ride when he returned home from the Lakes.

Little to my knowledge, Katie was already in on the plan and she helped me to look (slightly) more presentable under the disguise that we would be stopping at Bobcats for tacos. So we met Trey in Peterson, hopped on his parents Ranger and drove up to show Katie the cool view and also where Trey and I had one of our most early dates. Soon enough we were all taking pictures and I was looking over one we had taken when I turned around and found Trey on one knee! I said YES of course :)
