Jake and Tricia grew up in the same hometown, Becker MN. In their freshmen year of high school they were in a Spanish class together and soon after started dating. They were each other's first kiss after a school dance.

In the blink of an eye 12 years went by. Seemingly out of the blue Jake asked Tricia to go to dinner. And the rest was inevitable. They fell in love all over again.

They shared wonderful memories in Grand Marais where Jake gave Tricia a very special heart necklace back, that he originally gave her when they were teenagers. He kept it all those years.

After dating at a distance for 6 months, on New Years Eve, Tricia and Jake enjoyed a 10 course meal in downtown Fargo. After midnight at the ice skating rink Jake got down on one knee and they started 2023 as fiances.

They are so grateful that they found their way back to each other and look forward to their future spent cherishing time together.
