Caley is my younger sister and absolute other half. We’re only 16 months apart, and everyone often thinks we are twins (especially when we were little). Caley is an animator and all around INCREDIBLE fine artist. We grew up in Clintonville, Ohio and spent our days playing with our many toys (mainly Polly Pockets and Littlest Pet Shops), and playing computer games together (mainly Neopets and Club Penguin). We are the most “Yin & Yang” as sisters as can be! 🥹♥️
Caley has ALWAYS had a special connection with animals and is also a serious dog whisperer!
She currently produces, directs, and animates a show she created called “Shave Your Head” which you can watch on her Youtube channel here: https://youtube.com/@celirdoor?si=MJXqXmVBzD5wMCUK
She’s also currently developing a feature film (also animated and fully self-created) called Marvin! I am continuously proud and in awe of her art, and her journey in becoming a freelance artist. She lives in Ravenswood Chicago with her sweet boyfriend George, their cat Dude, and their hognose snake Gomer! <3
Anna is my oldest friend (other than Caley)! Her name appears in my first diary entry ever from 2005!!! Anna grew up in Clintonville, Ohio with Caley and I, and we were quite literally the three musketeers. Anna is one of the kindest people you will ever encounter in life. She is also the reason I read the Harry Potter books and became a massive “Potterhead”. 🧙 She is a beautiful artist, incredible graphic designer, and book lover. Anna lives in Brooklyn, New York with her sweet pup Doug! We haven’t seen each other in a million years because she was supposed to visit Chicago, and then the pandemic hit. Anna and I are soul sisters for life and nothing will keep us apart!! Our reunion will be legendary!!! ❤️
Emma is married to Brian’s younger brother Colin! I’m so glad I was able to attend her wedding - she was a gorgeous bride! 🥹 Emma is my soon-to-be sister-in-law, and I absolutely can’t wait! She works as a school counselor and boy, does it take a lot of patience and kindness to do the work that she does (especially dealing with parents 😅)! She and Colin live in a cozy apartment in St. Paul, Minnesota with their two kitties Zenko and Kodama - who also happen to be siblings with my and Brian’s cats! Emma loves good wine (especially from Trader Joe’s!), good laughs, is a massive fan of The Office, and loves a good cheesy Hallmark movie ;). We went to Italy last January with the Delisi family and drank so much espresso and good wine. 😌
Halie is engaged to Mark Delisi, Brian’s second younger brother, and identical twin of Colin! Halie is getting married on August 9th, 2025!! It will be the summer of weddings and I’m so thrilled for us! 😎 Halie lives in Duluth, Minnesota with Mark (who is currently in med school) and their little princess kitty Zella. Halie works as a nurse and has nerves of STEEL because she sees a lot of wild things in the OR!! She’s also the definition of devoted, as she moved all the way to Duluth and is holding down the fort and working while Mark braves Medical school! Halie is probably the best gift-giver I’ve ever met, makes incredible quilts and homemade goods, and is a super avid reader! The photo of us is from the Delisi Italy trip! Halie also loves amaretto ;)
Becca is married to Jeff Sweeney, (who is also in the wedding party)! Brian and I met Becca and Jeff in college, and had an instant connection. She and Jeff shot and directed a short film in school and it was by FAR the best looking, best directed film of our class. Becca and Jeff are an absolute UNIT and both currently work on the TV show Chicago PD! Becca is the loader in the camera department. 😎
Even though we don’t work together on set as often as we’d like, Brian and I get lots of Becca and Jeff time as we have a Dungeons and Dragon’s campaign with them and go on lots of adventures! When I tell you guys that Becca is the most dedicated D&D player ever….you gotta believe me. She’s also a constant kindness in my life and has the best laugh. :) Becca also has an incredible eye for cinematography and photography. She took the engagement photos of Brian and I, and did a stunning job!
What’s crazy is that I don’t remember the exact moment I first met Ang. I know we technically met on a student film at Columbia College Chicago, but we didn’t become close until after college! Ang worked on Chicago PD with Becca and Jeff, and we all started playing Dungeons and Dragons together! We’ve had so many fun adventures together, like going to the Wisconsin Delles, going to the Bristol Renaissance Fair, holiday parties, halloween parties, movies, board games, and more!!
Ang is an incredibly creative, kind, and funny soul. 😌 Her art work ranges from collage work, to knitting, to design. Ang currently works in admissions for Roosevelt University here in Chicago. She lives with her wonderful partner May (who is also in the wedding party and is also in our D&D group!) in Ravenswood, Chicago! They have two tortoises: Carl and Richard (who are in love). Above is a photo of us at the Bristol Renaissance fair!
Grace and I met a few years ago (I’m pretty sure at our friend Jake’s apartment!? - Jake is also in the wedding party!) or at Slide Bar, our neighborhood hangout spot. Either way, the second I met Grace, I knew we would be friends. She’s incredibly kind and is a very talented painter!! She is Local 476 Art Department on film sets, and absolutely crushes it. 😎
Grace and I have played SO many board games and card games together, and I’ve been incredibly lucky to work with her on set. She is a friend who will always have your back no matter what! She is also the reason I was able to sing karaoke for the first time in front of a bunch of strangers - she’s incredibly encouraging and authentic. Grace lives in Tri-Taylor (same neighborhood as Brian and I), with her amazingly sweet boyfriend Mo and their cutie kitties, Winnie and Roo!
Alden has been my buddy since day one. An absolute honorary brother and a forever member of The Gang.
It really says something about a friendship when it not only survives, but grows while we are geographically so far apart. Alden was doing cool Army Engineer things over in Germany for the last five years, but we still managed to find some overlap in our busy schedules and mismatched time zones to hang in the discord and chat. (Very excited to have him back in the US).
Alden is currently studying Physical Therapy at the University of Iowa and living with his fiancé, Clare and her three-legged dog, Willow.
Mark is my younger brother and the best buddy a guy could ask for. He is engaged to Halie and will have his wedding in August, later this year!
Mark is living up in Duluth, MN and absolutely crushing Med School! He's always down to help the people around him and I am sure, will make a huge positive impact wherever he lands after school!
Mark has starred in multiple cringy short films that we made back in the day. We have spent countless hours playing as kids (Mark and I had the longest running storyline with our Lego Star Wars toys. The lore was deep). Also, fun fact, Mark is the best (by far) in any video game we have ever played.
Colin is my youngest brother and twin to Mark. I am so lucky that I got my two closest buds straight from the start! Colin is married to Emma and lives up in St. Paul, MN.
He is working on his Psychology Masters degree and is going to be an absolute therapy powerhouse.
Colin was also an actor in my first short films and most recently starred in "Hungry Fire and Little Chicken," where he acted alongside a baby chicken during quarantine. Colin always makes time to hang with me despite his busy schedule.
Jake and I met on a pretty rough movie four years ago. We became fast friends and the rest is history! (The above photo is from a more recent, and MUCH more enjoyable film).
Jake is an incredibly talented producer and I am looking forward to many years of making movies with him. Jake lives directly two buildings behind ours and his apartment has become the unofficial "board game night location." He has two cats (three if you count his roommate's adorable nightmare) and helped us care for our cats when we first rescued them and they needed constant bottle feeding and attention. He's a good board gamer, and and even better buddy!
It's hard to tell exactly when Stuart and I met. It could have been on his thesis film, "West Park." (Beautiful film btw). Regardless, Stuart has been a constant and good friend for the last few years.
Stuart lives in Chicago with his girlfriend, Angelica, and their two cats, Piper and Fiona. He works in the production department on many of the local television shows, including most recently, The Bear.
Stu is the co-host of the Travolting podcast (my most listened to podcast), a fantastic filmmaker, and a budding board-game connoisseur.
I met May through our D&D group. She lives with her girlfriend, Ang, and they hosted all of our games for the last two years.
May is studying law and is destined to be an ELITE lawyer. She is quite possibly the smartest person that we know. She can, and does, translate old, obscure lawyer languages into readable English. May is an absolute homie and always has a crazy answer when I ask, "So what are you working on right now?"
Also fun fact, May played a boxing snail-person in our last D&D campaign... a "Slugger..." LOL
Jeff is one of my oldest college buddies. It's really amazing when a goofball buddy becomes a life-long friend. Jeff is definitely in that group.
Jeff is married to Becca and they just bought their first home! He works as a PA on Chicago PD (the show, not the police organization) and just recently completed his 600th day on set!
Jeff is a connoisseur of bad movies, the other co-host of the Travolting podcast, and the dungeon master to our newest D&D campaign. He's a skilled writer, an amazing AD, bound to be an incredible director, and a top tier friend.
