Q + A

Ceremony Parking will be provided

Enter and exit on the Superior Street driveway (this is a two-way driveway)

Turn left to go down the ramp to Lower Level One (the ramp has two-way traffic)

Push the button and pull a ticket to open the gate and enter the parking lot.

Park in any open spaces (non-reserved spaces) on Lower Level One (LL1) or Lower Level Two (LL2)

Bring your parking ticket with you to the Cathedral; the only place to validate these parking tickets is on the Cathedral Campus

Follow signs for the LOBBY (northeast corner of the garage) where you will find three elevators to bring you up to street level

Proceed out to State Street using the Pedestrian Walkway.

Please cross at Chicago Avenue for your safety.

The exit gate is at the same location as the entrance gate. Just insert your validated ticket in the machine and the gate will open.

Is there a dress code?

Yes! While we love everyones style and uniqueness, we ask that for the ceremony you dress in a semi-formal attire, as we'll be inside a Catholic Cathedral. For the reception please dress in a cocktail attire. We also ask that you refrain from wearing white, as we are reserving that color for the Bride & Groom! This also means, no sneakers, no hats/beanies, tank tops, or denim please!

Wedding gift? Where are you registered?

We are very blessed to have everything we need as we've lived together for a bit of time now. Should you want to give us a gift, we ask that it be a contribution to our family fund - the next steps! There will be a gift box with envelopes available during the reception, as well as links to our direct banks / third party apps. You are also welcome to give your gifts, in envelopes, directly to any bridesmaid or groomsmen for safe keeping. We ask that you make a notation of who the gift is from so we can properly give you thanks!

Can I bring a plus one?

While we would love to celebrate with everyone, unfortunately, we're on a tight budget and have limited space, so we simply can't afford for all of our lovely guests to bring a guest of their own. Plus ones are therefore by invitation only and we ask other guests to please not bring a plus one. Thank you so much for understanding.

What about my kids?

We truly wish we could invite all our guests’ children to our wedding however we are only able to invite the children of our immediate families. We hope you understand, and join us for a night of celebrations!

Is it open bar?

Yes! An open bar will be provided during our cocktail hour and reception dinner. We ask that you bring cash if you wish to tip the bartenders, as that is appreciated, but it is not required.

I'm not from the area, where do I stay?

There is a wide range of hotels in Chicago you can choose from, but we do recommend staying at the Swissotel where our reception is held or at the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel, which is a very short walk to the Swissotel.
