Our Wedding

December 16, 2023Not looking to meet anyone, I was dressed head to toe in Kaylie Jackson's clothes (leggings, a sweatshirt, and shoes a few sizes too small). No makeup on, hair barely brushed, and wearing reading glasses- you could say I was ready to hit the town. Cam was in Stillwater awaiting the news of his dental school application, so I of course third wheeled with my favorite people. I decided I wanted to go country dancing, so I headed down The Strip for Outlaws. As I entered with my friend Dalton, this guy with the most beautiful blue eyes approached us and started chatting with Dalton. I put a hand on Jacob's shoulder and asked, "can you dance?" He definitely could not, so I spent the rest of the evening trying to teach him. (He only dropped me a few times)

The Beginning (Trinity's Perspective)

January 16, 20241 month felt like a lifetime. Jacob and I spent virtually everyday together, getting to know one another. As I taught Jacob how to dance, he taught me how to skate. This particular day, we went to skate on the pond behind his house. I had never fallen down so many times or laughed as hard as I did this day. I can honestly say, this was the day I knew I loved Jacob Thompson. This day also happened to be the day Jacob asked me to be his girlfriend.

The First "yes" (Trinity's Perspective)

May 16, 2024Days, weeks, and months pass of falling more in love. After graduation, we had the opportunity to go to Italy. It had always been my dream to go, so as my graduation present, my parents arranged the best trip ever! We explored from Rome to Venice and everything in between. At the most beautiful place in Tuscany, with the most perfect man, Jacob got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. He makes me feel like a princess everyday, and I'm so thankful to have my fairytale ending.

The Italy Trip (Trinity's Perspective)

December 16, 2023That Friday night, I was going out with our friends to celebrate my best man Justin's graduation since he graduated early in December. I wasn't expecting to meet anyone as at the time I was thinking of going to IBOLC and Ranger School single and just focusing on the Army. That thought could not be further from the truth and I am extremely grateful for that. On that night, I was at Outlaws Bar with my friends, and I saw a buddy I knew from freshman year of college. I went up to him to congratulate him for graduating and the next thing I knew I turned to see a beautiful woman touching my shoulder. She asked me if I could dance and I said absolutely. We spent the remainder of the night dancing, talking, and laughing and I immediately knew that she was special.

THE BEGINNING (Jacob's Perspective)

January 16, 2024I spent the whole month of winter break excitingly awaiting to get back to Stillwater as quickly as possible to see Trinity again. When I got back to Stillwater there was a big winter storm that froze everything over. Trinity and I basically spent the whole week together learning more about each other and enjoying each other's company more and more each day. We went skating and played hockey together on the pond behind my house and that's when I knew I loved her and wanted to be with her all the time. I could not spend enough time with her. So on January 16th, before I left for hockey practice, I asked her to be my girlfriend already knowing that I want her to eventually be my wife.

THE FIRST "YES" (Jacob's Perspective)

May 16, 20245 months flew by as we made more memories with each other and I fell more in love with her. After Spring Break, I knew I wanted to propose to her before I left for IBOLC. Originally, I was planning to do it on the Mexico Trip I was going on with her and her family. However, the Army had a different plan as I found out I had to report to Fort Moore 10 days earlier than I thought. Trinity and her parents graciously invited me to Italy with them for two weeks for Trinitys graduation present. I thought What better place to propose to the woman that I love than in Italy. I asked her Father for his blessing and he thankfully gave it to me. Her Mom and I started to plan the proposal and thought Tuscany would be the best place. We tried to make it as much of a surprise as possible even though Trinity already knew it was coming but just didnt know when. When we got to Tuscany we had a photographer there and I got on one knee and asked her to marry me! I rehearsed what I was going to say but my nerves were running high and I completely blacked out during it, but I guess what I said must have been good because she excitedly said yes! It was one of the greatest trips that I have been on and it ended with me being engaged to the love of my life.

We are excited to celebrate our love with our favorite people! We ask that you wear semi-formal attire. Men should wear a suit or blazer (tie optional) with dress pants. Women should wear a dress or a pantsuit.

What Do I Wear? 

The Ceremony starts promptly at 5:00pm, so it is suggested to arrive a few minutes early to find a seat.

What Time Do I Arrive? 

There is parking along the street in front of and on the north side of the venue.

Where Do I Park?

The ceremony will be outside, and the reception will shortly follow inside.

Where is the Ceremony?

We kindly ask that only those named on the invitation attend, as we would like to keep this an intimate event.

Am I Allowed to Bring Someone Not Listed on My RSVP?

We adore your children, however we would like for our guests to celebrate without the little ones. Again, if they are listed on your RSVP, we would love their attendance.

Am I Allowed to Bring Children?

An open bar of beer and wine will be offered to guests. We will have a cash bar for guests who prefer mixed drinks. Please be responsible if drinking, and arrange rides to get home safely.&nbsp;

Will there be an open bar?

Please RSVP by October 1st to ensure we have a spot for you! If you do not RSVP by this date, we will assume you will not be able to make it. We will greatly miss your presence!
