Grant and I met in an interesting way but looking back on it we were bound to cross paths no matter what. Grant and I are in the same major (Aeronautical Science) at the same school in the same year. Freshman year our paths were parallel but rarely crossed. The beginning of Sophomore year is where our paths went from parallel to overlapping. When classes started mid-August, I decided I need to be more social, so I invited my new roommates out for bowling. Knowing myself I needed someone with similar interests so while walking in the parking lot I made a quick decision. I yelled to a fellow pilot asking if he would like to join me for bowling as well. While bowling Grant and I made small talk but did not hit it off right away due to us trying to beat the other one in bowling. Halfway through the last game Grant whispers that him and I should go to the fair without my roommates. I agree and after making our way to the fair we decide to do the two rides with the longest lines. While in line for a total of an hour and a half we talk the whole time never having awkward silence or wanting to be somewhere else. After the fair we sparked a friendship which would blossom for seven months. After we both came to terms, we liked each other more than friends we began dating March 15th and got engaged on the Yellowstone River January 18th.
