We met November 5th, 2021 on a camping trip with some mutual friends. We didn’t speak much or interact with one another in any meaningful way, but unbeknownst to us both, that connection was going to be very important down the road. A year and a half later, on April 28th, 2023, we reconnected at our friend Mia’s graduation party. Over the weekend that followed that party, we went on several long dates and started dating a few days later. Throughout the course of summer 2023, we made time to be with one another often and begin to learn each other’s values, sense of humor, and quirks. The time we spent together escalated in the fall of 2023 and we had lots of fun times, motorcycle rides, movie nights, and pickleball games. Around the winter of 2023, we began talking seriously about marriage, evaluating what the best steps for our future should be. By February 2024, we had picked out a ring and gotten Emmy’s Dad’s blessing. On April 6th, 2024 in Florence, we were engaged and it was a very happy day. Since then, we have been busy planning the wedding, getting settled into our new life together in Birmingham, and doing our best to stay sane in the meantime:)

We are so excited to celebrate what the Lord has done in our lives in bringing us together. We are honored by everyone who comes to celebrate with us in September and will genuinely miss those who are unable to join us for the wedding!
