Amar and Trisha crossed paths many different times throughout their undergraduate studies at Penn State. However, it wasn’t until their senior year where they had a smaller class together during their fall semester. They hadn’t spoken a word to each other throughout the class. On the last day of the class, after the final, they found themselves at a bar in downtown State College. As fate had it, they were ordering drinks next to each other at the bar when Trisha struck up conversation. “What’d you think of the final?” she asked. They chatted about the final and learned they had another accounting class together the following semester. The conversation was brief and they parted ways, never exchanging names or numbers. The next day they left for winter break and Trisha headed straight for Hoboken Santacon (ew) with her friends.
When spring semester started, they had known more about each other through their Instagrams and sat next to each other in class. There was a project in that class and they decided to be partners. They would spend lots of time together in the library and then grabbing a bite after. On Valentines Day, Amar asked Trisha on a real date. They drove to a restaurant off campus and had a real dinner. Since they had a car, they drove to Walmart after to get groceries. After all, they were still college kids and were lucky enough to borrow their friends car. The highlight of the date was how fun doing mundane things like getting groceries together was. They both knew this was something special.
Over the next 8 years, they would both live in separate cities, in the same city, and then finally together in Jersey City. They’ve traveled to many countries together, gone on ski trips with their close friends, attended countless weddings together, and are almost done planning their own (thank god).
The greatest joy of their life is their dog, Brody. When they aren’t busy working or creating content, they love to try new coffee shops and bring Brody along with them. In many ways, their life together has already begun but they are very excited to celebrate their love with those who have shaped their lives. If you’ve made it this far in their story, you are definitely one of them :)
