Our Wedding

Trisha N Tom were never meant to happen. Tom swore up and down that he would never leave Wisconsin. Trisha had her Facebook dating settings to weed out Wisconsinites. Somehow, Tom weaseled his way through her filters.Their first date was at Kane Meadow Park, and instantly, a connection began. Trisha was, and still is, obsessed with true crime shows and mentioned "murder" at least 200 times during the first date. (You know, because she chose to walk the woods on a first date!).They bonded over many things. Mainly things like food, sobriety, food, monsters, family, food, humor, food, and adventures.After some quick accelerated months, Tom decided that he couldn't wait any longer and NEEDED to officially ask Trisha to marry him. Though not before talking to (his now best friend Dan!) her parents for their blessing. Which spoiler, they willingly gave.Tom wrangled up help of Trisha's sister, and one of her friends, to trick her back to the Park of their first date. (AKA possible murder woods location) Once some of the fog cleared from Trisha's eyes and she somewhat realized what was going on, Tom assumed position on one knee and proposed. After the "Yes," Trisha also playfully exclaimed, "I hate you all!!!" because she thinks no one can pull a fast one on her..... Well, Tom did...with some help.Laughter is a focal point of this relationship and soon to be marriage. The girls aren't any exception to that either! If anything, they are always at the forefront. As a family 5 we love playing games, ice cream(!) the pets, adventures, FOOD, Jokes (usually not great ones) are told all too often. And most importantly, we all whine at Tom when he farts, but at least one of us is close to the can of Febreze!Trisha N Tom were destined to be together because, after all, together they are like T-n-T Dynamite!!!😉

Kristina has been by my side since I was probably five years old. We have gone through everything together. and still manage to remain the best of friends. Kristina is not only my best friend, she is my sister from another mister.

I could never imagine my wedding without my girls standing by my side to send me off with their approval. Though, now I think they are more approving of Tom then they are of me, their own flesh and blood!

Mark and Tom met in 2020 when Tom was living in Wisconsin. Fun fact: Mark taught Tom how to ride a motorcycle. 

Marko Smith

Steve and Tom met when Tom was in college. Steve opened a transitional housing facility for individuals coming our of incarceration and/or addiction treatment and have been friends ever since they met in 2012.

Stevie Ashmore

Scott and Tom met in 2017 and grew a strong bond. Tom has always appreciated Scott's blunt approach to life and that Scott never sugarcoats anything. Scott is a proud member of the Misfarts Riding Club (Motorcycle).

Scott Johnson

Dylan and Tom met in 2011 while in college together, and spent a lot of time together. When Dylan moved to Duluth, MN, after college, the two remained in close contact and eventually shared similar life events together that brought them even closer.

Dress Code

4:00pm - Ceremony begins
4:30pm - Guests to reception area, pick out games to play, and mingle
5:00pm - Dinner
6:30pm - First dance/Watch us awkwardly dance with our parents
7:00pm - Music and dancing opens for everyone. Games and activities throughout the night
11:00pm - Thanks for coming, GTFO, love you, bye!
