At the ripe old ages of 18 and 19, Tristan and Danyelle were set up on a blind date by a mutual friend — based on the fact that they were both tall.

The most impressive place to two midwest teenagers was, of course, The Cheesecake Factory. For anyone who knows Tristan today, you may be surprised to know that he was very shy and not the smoothest of men. The first words out of his mouth to Danyelle were, "Wow, you ARE tall!"

The coy teenagers took their time getting to know one another over the summer of 2006, and when it was time to part for college 9 hours apart, they decided to make it official — hey, long-distance is easy, right?
