Tristens Version: We met for the first time when we were in 7th grade, Unfortunately we did not get married on the spot but here we are six years later saying I do. Towards the middle of the school year in 7th grade Corban stopped going to school in Miller, which ultimately led to us not speaking for about four years. Then on one God sent night in August of 2022 we both happened to be at the same fair. Whenever I was getting dressed for the day I had no intentions on going to the fair because I had gone the day before and had my share of sketchy rides and soda. Yet, whenever my friends were walking by my house asking me if I wanted to go with them there was something in my gut telling me that I needed to go. And in my mind at that time I just assumed it was a massive case of FOMO. As we were walking towards the fair I just kept thinking that something really awesome was going to happen that night because my gut feeling Then my friends and I were just about to go for our last round of rides for the night when I seen my friend Josiah walking down the street, and as I went to wave at him my eyes trailed just a little further ahead of him and they landed right on a shaggy headed boy. And at that moment, I had no idea how I remembered him, but it clicked instantly in my head that it was Corban, so I yelled his name. Which if you know me at all, yelling in general is incredibly unlike me. He whipped his head in all sorts of directions trying to figure out where it came from which made me laugh a little. And when his eyes landed on mine I gave him a little wave and said hi, and then he stared at me for a second and then smiled really big. I said You dont remember me do you? and laughed. Which in turn made him laugh and say No, I do! Im just really bad with names! And during that 2 second interaction it really did feel like there was nobody else around us but that was interrupted by Josiah saying Thats Tristen. What a way to ruin the moment Yosiah! That was that, and throughout the rest of the night at the fair I couldnt stop thinking about him, and at one point right before I left I had finally stirred up the courage to go ask him for his contact information but by the time I found his friends again, Corban had already left. That didnt stop me though, I was very determined to get in contact with him for some reason. As a result, I went through a couple of my friends and got his contact information and we quickly hit it off from there. We started dating shortly after that and now have been dating for over two years. All by Gods grace we made it through everything and are now engaged and ready to be married!


Corbans Version: In 7th grade I went to a new school and I was only there for a short time, around four months. I was very quiet, kept to myself, and didnt try to make friends because I didnt like the change and I didnt want to be there. In the time I was there though I met this girl who took a liking to me, that of course was Tristen. I sat next to her in math class and I would always help her with her homework, I know now that she didnt need my help and was just using it as an excuse to talk to me. I left that school abruptly and with zero contact with anyone at the end of first quarter. Four years ago by without seeing or talking to Tristen, but one night when I was at a festival with some friends I heard my name from somewhere in the big crowd around me. I looked all over the place trying to find out who said my name just for my eyes to settle on Tristen who was standing five feet in front of me. I didnt recognize her at first but I started at her face for a little bit, studying it until I did, but I could not remember her name. We shared a small conversation and then went out separate ways, although we did bump into each other again that night and I looked back at her until she disappeared into the crowd, I had a hard time not thinking about her that night, She got my contact information the next day from a mutual friend of ours who I didnt even know was a mutual friend.We started talking and about a month and a half later we started dating. I know some would consider that hasty and I would tend to agree but God was overseeing it all and brought us together and with Him as our foundation we have flourished a beautiful relationship that I will forever cherish.
