Honestly... it all started with prayer. Mike and Tristina were praying for each other, before they ever even met.

1 John 5:14-15 "And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him."

This brings us to how this union started... Mike decided to slide into Tristina's DM's on Instagram because he noticed that Tristina followed an instagram page "DateColumbus," assuming she was single. He eventually struck up a conversation with Tristina about their shared interest in God, pets, politics, and tacos.

Ironically, Mike and Tristina were in similar circles, but never formally met in person, so Mike asked Tristina out on a taco date after church. After a four hour long date of talking and getting to know each other at "La Loteria" taco shop, their bond continued to strengthen over time.

Less than a week later, Tristina and Mike decided to date with a purpose which allowed them to build a foundation based on faith, love, and forgiveness. A short 10 months later, Mike asked Tristina to marry him during a trip to Washington D.C. Tristina describes this as "the best "yes" of her life.
