Pilar and myself have been looking for years for the right person to come along. Going through todays dating scene it all seemed hopeless. Both of us were not willing to compromise and just be with someone to be with someone. We wanted something more than that, something that we knew god had in store for us. Then one day Pilar’s father, with whom I work with, decided to try and get my department chair Mrs. T to ask me if I was interested in going on a date with his daughter. I immediately said yes, thinking that you never know unless you try. I didnt know then but our lives would change forever. It didnt take long for us to talk everyday over the phone wanting to know each other more and more. Our first date was that same week and upon seeing each other it was nothing but butterflies and fireworks from there on out. We clicked on a level I didnt know was possible. It was almost as if we were made to be together. Everything in our relationship has been easy and seamless. As each day goes by, we want to spend more and more time together, realizing how much better our lives are with each other. Just doing simple errands has become enjoyable. I made the decision to propose in only 3 months for a couple of reasons. One, is that it doesnt feel like it was 3 months, it has felt like I have known Pilar for my whole life. Two, no one else will ever make me feel the way she does so in my opinion there isnt a difference between 3 months or 8 years if you have found the right person.

One day Pilar told me about the invisible string theory, which I have never heard before. She said that there is an invisible string between you and your soul mate. It is a link tying you together without knowing it. No matter where life takes you, you will always eventually find each other when the time is right. I couldnt agree more with a better representation of our love and relationship. We both almost gave up on finding our soul mate but God and the universe had us meet at the right time.
