Troy and Rachael met in 2023 while Troy was vacationing in Tennessee with a few of his friends. They met at YeeHaw in Knoxville where Troy challenged Rachael to a game of ping pong. They were inseparable the rest of the night and even spent more time together at a campfire that same week. After Troy's vacation ended, they continued texting and FaceTiming which turned into flying back and forth from Michigan to Tennessee to see each other. They decided to move Rachael to Michigan so they could be closer to each other. After much prayer and feeling like it was God's will, Troy proposed to Rachael on New Years Eve at the same spot where they had one of their dates when Rachael first visited Michigan.
