It started with a notification. Not the kind that changes the world, or so I thought (lol) just a casual “You have a message request” back in 2016. To be honest, I don't remember if his profile picture was charming or whatever happened that day, but I do remember the curiosity it inspired in me. Who's this guy Sedilame is talking about? What does he want?We had a single mutual friend. Just one. That mutual friend was the reason we were even pixels on each other’s screens. I clicked Accept looking forward to finding out what this was about, but then came the first message, confident, warm, and just curious enough to feel like fate had hit “send” for him.Our conversations became a daily ritual, in the mornings before school, late into the night, the kind that made the Facebook chat feel like a secret cafe where only we met. We talked about everything our dreams, the way life looked from our corners of the world, and slowly, the screen between us stopped feeling like a barrier and started feeling like a bridge.By the time we met in person, it didn’t feel like meeting at all. It felt like a continuation. Like we had always been in the middle of a conversation that just never ended. And truly, it never has.Since that first mutual-friend connection, we’ve never looked back. Our lives became one long thread, woven together by chance, timing, sometimes turmoil, and a beautiful love story in our eyes.
