Cottonwood Beach - Washougal, WA
Grab a cooler filled with your favorite bevi’s and enjoy a day at Cottonwood Beach. Also known as BA beach, it offers a variety of people watching, fun in the sand, and who knows maybe Scott Parnell or Peter Young will show up and give you whip lash on a tube behind the boat!
Mountain Biking - Camas, WA
For those of you that need a little bit of a rush in life, grab your bike or rent one from Camas Bikes and hit the trails! Round lake park offers a wide variety of trails for walking and riding. Personal favorite trail is “Red Tape” (experts only). There’s even a waterfall if you can find it!
Bonneville Fish Hatchery - Cascade Locks, OR
The largest fish hatchery in Oregon, go feed the fish (bring some quarters), look at Herman the Sturgeon (500 lb fish), enjoy the beautiful grounds, then grab food in Cascade Locks (10/10 recommend Brigham Fish Market)!
Thrift Shop - Portland, OR
Park on Hawthorne Street and enjoy the best thrift stores all with-in walking distance. Personal favorites include Crossroads, 2nd Street, and House of Vintage. Then grab a drink and cajun tots at McMenamins during happy hour!
Sip and Walk - Camas, WA
To have a TRUE Camas experience, order a smoothie from Squeeze and Grind (a peanut butter cup or raspberry tickle), enjoy a quick view of the mill, get some Papermaker merch, then walk around Round Lake with a friend.
Float the Washougal River - Washougal, WA
There’s nothing more magical than floating the Washougal River on a warm Summer day. Park one car at Hathaway Park, then drive up your second car and start your float at Mile Marker 3 - wear river shoes and bring snacks and drinks for the two-three hour float! Pro-tip, stop by Les Schwab or Bi-Mart and ask if they have any tubes they’re willing to get rid of.
