Our story would not have been possible without the Volvo Cars' office in Madrid, where we met on Tugba's birthday. We instantly went along well and quickly a friendship was born.

Our shared love for Asturias and Balkan music brought us closer together, and at one point we realized that our paths were meant for more than just friendship.

When the Covid virus paralyzed the world, we decided to go through the several lockdown periods with each other. It was an intense relationship test, but we passed it with such ease that we understood our love story had a life-long potential.

While the world slowly came out of the Covid crisis, our story brought us to many concerts and festivals. And as we got to know each other better and better, we landed partly due to a coincidence in the neighborhood where we would later buy our apartment: Barrio de las Letras!

Since the beginning of our adventure, we were accompanied by our bolito Mokito, but once in our new neighborhood, also Odin joined us. Both of them might cause some damage in the house, but mostly increase our daily dose of happiness.

And then, one beautiful sunny day at the island of Chios in August, Adriaan found the right location to ask the big question, which Tugba answered with "I do"!

The next chapter of our story will be in the Urla region, where we will celebrate our wedding and we hope to write that chapter with you! As well as the many chapters that are yet to come.
