Our ceremony &amp; reception will take place at Café Détente, located at 1909 Drake Elm Dr, Youngsville, LA 70592.We ask that our guests arrive NO earlier than 4:00pm. There are 3 areas for parking:1. Main Parking area is just past the Café, on the left side of Detente Road, directly in front of the Pavilion, that space will be reserved for the bridal party and vendors.2. Primary Guest Parking is available on the right side of Detente Road, opposite of the main parking area, just past the Café.3. Additional Guest Parking is along the right side of Drake Elm Drive, just before you get to the Café. Our Wedding

We’re Getting Married! We’re so excited to start this new chapter & celebrate with those who mean the most to us. We're keeping our wedding small and intimate, surrounded by our closest family and friends. It's been quite the journey (it only took us 7 years to get here). We had our very first date in March of 2019. We both decided to show up, even though the weather took a turn and it turned into quite the rainy day. We had both had some unexpected setbacks prior to meeting, and decided to put it all on the table from the very beginning.   By April of 2019, we were officially dating. Gerry met Breighlynn & Maverick a few short months later, and you'd swear he'd known them their entire lives. We bought a house and moved in together in October of 2019. We talked about marriage and before we knew it, Covid put a delay on things.   Life continued on, and just as Covid was finally starting to ease up, we got a pretty big surprise... in February of 2021 we found out we were expecting. In October of 2021 Renleigh was born, and we adjusted to life as a family of 5. Life continued moving forward, but we eventually decided to take a little break.   At the end of July in 2023 we took a trip to Branson, MO. We explored, we swam, we took pictures, and made memories... oh, yeah... we got engaged too!   As much as we'd have loved to start wedding planning right away, it just took a back seat to life. We started talking about selling our house, and next thing we knew, it was March of 2025, and our house was hitting the market.   We started talking wedding plans again, and then just a few short weeks later, on April 24th of 2025, we got quite the surprise, when our house flooded. We spent the summer of 2025 putting the pieces back together and in August, we were finally able to close on our house.   We decided that it was time to stop putting our special day on the back burner, and now here we are, only a few short months away from saying I do!   We are so grateful to have YOU, our closest family & friends joining us for an intimate ceremony and small reception at Cafe’ Detente’ this coming April!
