Our fairytale story has only begun and is far from being over. From high school sweethearts to soon to be newlyweds, it all started with us being classmates our junior year of high school. Janecia and I didn't become friends and start dating until our senior year. Janecia attended the homecoming dance with me and we've literally been inseparable since.

Fast forward to after prom and graduation, I decided to stay home and attend community college. Janecia instead took a gap year, then went to cosmetology school where she would complete school and acquire her cosmetology license within a year's time. Janecia has been successful and thriving in her career field since the day she passed her test. On the other hand, I was making my strides struggling to get through college. I ultimately succeeded, which is all that matters.

Shortly after I graduated college, I went ahead and purchased her wedding ring. I planned to propose late 2025 Fall or Winter, but that clearly didn't go as planned. On Super Bowl night at a friend's house, she mentioned she seen the ring. That completely threw off my plans, so I ended up contacting a close friend of mine to help me surprise Janecia on Valentine's Day instead.

In the time since the proposal, I am now a first year teacher of 8th grade science at my alma mater, Reed Middle School, in Duncanville, Texas. Janecia continues to meet new people and grow her clientele through word of mouth and social media platforms. Still amazing at her craft and keeping myself and her clients looking good on the daily. We are more than happy and enjoying life day by day.
