Ty and Mackenzie met on March 27th, 2021. Tys sister-in-law, Kayla, invited Mackenzie to come over to Tys parents garage for a few drinks after work. On Mackenzies way over, Kayla texted Mackenzie, you will love Claytons brother. Little did they know, they would be getting married six years later. As Mackenzie entered the garage, she and Ty made awkward eye contact. After a night of goofy, childish flirting, the spark was ignited. Shortly afterward, at a party at Mackenzies parents house, after observing Mackenzie and Ty together, Mackenzies mother said to her, Youre going to marry that boy one day. Over the next few years, Mackenzie and Ty would keep in contact while growing as people individually. In the summer of 2023, they finally admitted their feelings for each other and started officially dating. They pushed through long distance for months, while Ty was working in Maryland, and finally moved in together in July of 2024. In their Rochester home, they cultivated their own little family of three cats, one dog, one fish, one snapping turtle, and a Parker (Tys brother). After living together for a year, Ty knew it was time to make Mackenzie his wife. With his parents help, he secretly picked out the most beautiful ring. On August 4th, 2025, while on their first couples vacation in Maine, Ty got down on one knee and asked Mackenzie to marry him. After ten minutes of blubbering tears, Mackenzie finally said yes! Mackenzie and Ty are so very excited to tie the knot together on August 21st, 2027, the perfect beginning to their love story.
