This was one of our many "firsts" together. Tyler and I went to watch the Derby in Powell. Despite living my whole life in Wyoming, I had never once seen a derby. Now, we make sure to see at least one every summer. Later that night, we went to the fair, and Tyler got his first glimpse of just how much food I can eat by myself. It was also Tyler's first time ever going on a carnival ride. He was absolutely terrified when we rode Vertigo—the one where we both sit on a swing together and spin in a circle. To this day, he still refuses to ride the Zipper with me, especially after I introduced him to the roller coasters at Elitch Gardens in Denver.

This day was truly unforgettable. For my 21st birthday, Tyler took me out to our favorite spot in Yellowtail. We set up a picnic on the back of his flatbed and watched the sun dip below the horizon. As music played from Tyler's truck, we danced and talked about all the future birthdays we'd share together. The beach was completely ours, the perfect backdrop for our memories. This was also where we had our engagement photos taken four years later. So many special moments have been shared here, and it's a spot we will always cherish.

We celebrated Lipp's first birthday on this day. He is the smartest, little corgi ever and we absolutely love him to death. The day we picked him up was unforgettable - I had just had my wisdom teeth pulled out, and despite the pain, we drove five hours to get him. Keylmynie, our mutual friend that brought Tyler and I together, was with us. The return trip was a disaster. Not only was I still in pain, but we also were driving on the interstate in a complete whiteout. We ended up in an accident that caused a flat tire (no one was hurt, thank goodness). Not even ten minutes later, we received an alert from WYDOT that the interstate was shut down for the rest of the night due to the snowstorm. We sat in Tyler's truck waiting for about two hours for the tow truck to come get us. I was so grateful that Keylmynie had a friend in Sheridan for us to stay with for the night while we waited for Tyler's truck to get fixed. Nonetheless, we gained the most amazing dog in the world and a memory that can never be forgotten.

Zac, one of Tyler's closest friends, took this picture of us in Cooke City. He has a beautiful cabin nestled in the Beartooth Mountains, and it’s absolutely stunning. Tyler is lucky to have a friend like Zac. He’s spent countless nights at Zac’s cabin, making unforgettable memories—whether it’s fishing, hiking, or grabbing pizza at the Miners Saloon after a long day of exploring. One weekend, Zac invited a large group of friends to stay at the cabin. We all sat on the balcony, laughing the night away, when out of nowhere, one of Zac and Tyler’s friends suddenly said, “Would you look at that moon?” It was hilarious in the moment for reasons we still don’t fully understand, but even now, when Tyler and I look up at the night sky, we’re always reminded of that night at Zac’s cabin.

Tyler and I officially moved to Laramie so I could finish school! As soon as we finished unpacking in the apartment we shared with my sister, we couldn’t wait to explore everything Laramie had to offer. True to form, Tyler quickly found a backroad that led us to a stunning lake. It was absolutely breathtaking, and the drive was equally beautiful. From playing pool and attending concerts at The Cowboy to lake days, pre-game parties, cookouts, and football games, Laramie gave us countless memories we’ll treasure forever. While it wasn’t quite “home,” it brought us lifelong friends who we’re honored to have in our wedding party.

Never plan a trip to Moab, UT, in the middle of summer! While I wouldn’t trade this weekend for anything, hiking in 100+ degree heat was no joke. During the trek to see the iconic Delicate Arch, Tyler discovered a small rock window that perfectly framed a distant view of the arch—a much-needed moment of shade and a unique perspective on the stunning landmark. We reached the Arch just in time for sunset, where we paused for a snack and a well-deserved break, soaking in the breathtaking view as the sun dipped below the horizon. This trip was truly unforgettable, and we can’t wait to embark on a lifetime of adventures together.

This was Tyler’s first time ever wearing a suit and tie, and I couldn’t take my eyes off him all night! He was my plus-one to a formal dinner hosted by the College of Business near the end of my MBA program. Tyler loved the suit so much that he decided to wear it out for a game of pool afterward. His friend Blake, who is also one of his groomsmen, threw on a suit too and joined us for the night. It was definitely an evening to remember!

The day I had been dreaming of finally arrived. After six incredible years of creating lifelong memories together, Tyler knelt down on one knee and presented the beautiful ring I now wear every day. I’m beyond grateful to Sam and Carrie for joining us on this impromptu camping trip and keeping Tyler’s big secret the entire time!
Tyler chose Sibley Lake in the Bighorn Mountains for this unforgettable moment. I was looking out into the water, and I remember reflecting on how our very first camping trip together was at this exact lake years ago. When I turned around, there he was—down on one knee, holding out the ring. I couldn’t stop crying.
What made this moment even more special, beyond the proposal itself, was being able to savor the entire weekend away from the world, cherishing it privately before coming down from the mountain to share the exciting news with everyone.
