Please be mindful of the time change!
Please note, the time in South Bend, Indiana is set to eastern standard time, which is +1 hour to Chicago (12:00PM in South Bend means it is 11:00AM in Chicago). Please keep in mind when traveling to our destination wedding, that you will lose an hour if you are traveling from Chicago.
Can I bring a guest?
Our guest list limited to those whose names appear on the formal invitation. This goes for significant others and children. Unless your significant other or child’s name appear on the invitation you receive in the mail, additional guests have not been included in your guest party’s count. We appreciate your understanding of this request.
What should I wear?
The dress code for our welcome party, held on Friday evening, is Dressy Casual. This event will be hosted in a space with indoor and outdoor areas.
The dress code for our wedding day is Formal. Tuxes or suits and gowns or cocktail dresses are welcome and appropriate. All wedding day events; ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, will be hosted indoors.
Sunday morning's farewell brunch dress code will be business casual.
Be sure to bring comfortable shoes for our wedding day events. There will be a lot of walking involved as there will be a break in the day between our ceremony's conclusion and the start of our cocktail hour. We encourage you to enjoy the amenities both on and close to campus. Visit our "Things to Do" page for more information.
Are there other wedding events I can attend?
Continue to keep up with our "Home" page on the wedding website for details, addresses, and directions on events for all our guests to enjoy during the wedding weekend.
Should I bring my credit/debit card?
If you plan on dining on Notre Dame's campus or shopping at the Hammes Bookstore, be mindful that Notre Dame is entirely cash-less. Notre Dame dining facilities will not accept cash tips, either.
What is the weather like this time of year in South Bend?
Considering both the bride and groom attended school and moved into non-air conditioned dorms around this time year, we can fully guarantee that it will be hot and humid in South Bend. Please adhere to the dress codes while packing clothes that are comfortable for hot or humid temperatures. All events will have indoor, air conditioned spaces.
Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?
Please visit the "Accommodations & Travel" page here on our website for more details related to hotel blocks and other recommended lodging options.
Please book your accommodations early as all blocks will "close" 1 month prior to our wedding date (July 17). If a hotel has been removed from our website, this indicates rooms are no longer available at that hotel.
Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?
Yes.
Please visit this link which outlines the ADA compliant structures around Notre Dame's campus: https://www.nd.edu/about/accessibility/
Will transportation be provided?
Please visit our “Parking, Transportation, and Access” page for more details.
