If you plan on flying, the nearest airport is the Indianapolis International Airport (IND). It is about a 50 minute drive from the airport to the Biddle Hotel. There is a shuttle which will take you to the hotel: https://goexpresstravel.com/bloomington-airport-shuttle/ Note that the hotel is part of the IMU or Indiana Memorial Union. This is the stop you'll want to select. You can also Uber or rent a car. We may try to arrange group transportation. Please let us know what time you plan on arriving if you decide to fly, as this may apply to you.

Bloomington, like all midwestern towns, is not walkable. But there are some exceptions! The Biddle Hotel/IMU is on IU campus and near the downtown area, both of which are extremely walkable. We definitely suggest getting out of the Hotel and exploring anytime. (Note: A few parts of downtown will not be safe at night. And do not go near 2nd Street anytime: it is full of crackheads.) For the ceremony and rehearsal dinner, you'll most certainly need to drive. Ubering in the summer is inconsistent. If you do not have a car, try to catch a ride from someone who does. If you have trouble doing so, let us know.
