Once upon a time at Berkeley City College...

We met on a class field trip to the Legion of Honor Museum in San Francisco, when I (Tyler) offered some classmates a ride home.

Edson sat in the passenger seat and talked with me about books the whole way back to Berkeley. When my other two classmates gave me gas money at the end of the trip, he gave me a book.

The first several “dates” were hanging out at local bookstores, and studying together at cafes. We exchanged books for birthdays and Christmas, and we still do!

Now, almost nine years later, we've move from Berkeley to Oakland, switched careers a few times, and adopted two little dogs who have totally taken over our lives (and we love them for it).
