Our Wedding

Tyler and I met in college at UW- Eau Claire. We were both in the kinesiology program- his emphasis on exercise physiology and mine in athletic training.Eventually after months of texting, and him asking me on dates time and time again, I agreed. The rest is pretty much history. Tyler was a senior and I was a sophomore when we met so the first couple years were hard as he moved to Mankato for his masters program and I was in Eau Claire to finish my program. We spent as much time with each other as possible. This meant constantly having a weekend bag packed, lots of miles on the cars, and cringey goodbyes every Sunday. After we both graduated we moved in together in Eau Claire and started out "big kid jobs". Tyler started a job as a coordinator for cardiac rehab at an area hospital and does an amazing job. He works hard and cares about making a positive impact on his patients and I find that admirable. I started a job with an amazing orthopedic surgeon as his right hand man in the clinics and surgery. More currently, I have transitioned to a new position at an orthopedic urgent care due to the closure of my last clinic in Eau Claire. In October 2023 we took our first big trip together to Switzerland to visit my friend Geraldine and then continue on to Portugal. I was hoping that after 4.5 years of being together Tyler would buck up the courage to ask me to marry him and what time would be better than our European vacation. I had done all the packing and didn't seem to find a little ring box in any of this clothes so I got a little disappointed. Turns out that he had it packed in his sunglasses case so I had no idea that he had it with him. My friend Geraldine and her boyfriend Fabian took us on a hike in Zurich and once we got to a beautiful outlook Tyler asked me to marry him. The rest of the vacation was a great way to celebrate our engagement. Throughout the years many things have changed but we have always been there for each other and that has lead us to now. We are excited to get married and see what the future years have in store for us.

Geraldine lives in Switzerland and was a foreign exchange student for my sophmore year in high school and we were pretty much together at all times. We make as many trips to see each other since she moved back home. 
Tyler proposed on our latest trip to see Geraldine while we were hiking in Zurich Switzerland.

Best friend from college. We were in the same athletic training program and struggled together to get through it. We also lived together for the last year of college. Liv is always down for a late night culvers run and to make fun of my love of country music while working out.

My older sister who I've looked up to since we were little girls and has been with me every step of the way. As an older sister she has to do everything first so I've been able to see what a great marriage looks like outside of our parents and she is the first person I go to for advice.

Sydney Tchida

My younger sister who always keeps things fun and exciting. She is the one who keeps things lighthearted and is always up for a late night snack run since we were young.

Cami Fischer

My youngest sister who is so caring and sweet. Casey is always good for a funny story and has allowed me to try to be a good role model. Casey has always been the girl that keeps us in line when we were younger.

Tyler's undergrad roommate who practically raised him in college and is his fantasy football coach. He is always there to help with work at the cabin and is the guy we cheer on while drinking the Birkie in Hayward, WI.

Childhood friend that is also a build in mechanic if we have car troubles. A kind and reliable man who is part of a great support group for Tyler.

Childhood friend who has been there for Tyler since day one. He brings a very calming and caring personality and is a great man that Tyler looks for advice from a lot. 

Jayden Koehler

Jacob was childhood friends with Tyler in his close group. He was also his roommate for his masters degree in Mankato. Jacob and Tyler love to fish together and he is such a responsible and generous friend.

Jacob Waletzki

Childhood friend of Tyler in his close group. He is such a caring and sweet man that has really been there since day one. They love playing pull tabs together and get in very heated Vikings vs. Packers debates.
