Our Wedding

I first met Hayden in elementary school. He and his twin brother Hunter enrolled in my school in the fifth grade. I was in the sixth. I remember everyone being so excited about the new guys who fit in right off the bat (pun intended). Hayden played baseball with all of my IA guy friends, and my friends and I went to all the games. I remember hanging out with Hayden at recess that first year and thinking he was so cute! Only a short while later, they moved to Oxford. We stayed in touch loosely through social media but reconnected in person after high school. I was attending Delta State and Hayden was attending Mississippi State. We ran into each other at Sharpe Street in Cleveland one weekend while Hayden was in town visiting his brother. We started hanging out again on weekends and texting back and forth. This went on for a couple of months and I was ready for a relationship, but Hayden did not want a long distance relationship. I was so sad. My best friend, Swayze, told me to stop worrying about it because she just knew he would come around and she was right! Hayden finally decided he couldn't resist me! The first time Hayden came to my house to pick me up for a real date he came to the door instead of sitting in his truck and honking his horn like other guys had done. Needless to say, my mom had respect for him from the beginning. My dad took a little longer to come around because Hayden is an Ole Miss fan, but he soon grew to love him as much as I do. Hayden remembers the first time I came to visit his mother in Oxford. She asked him how many people she needed to cook for, and he told her all of the people and ended with... "and Tyler Domino, I plan to make her my girlfriend pretty soon." His mother asked if I was aware of this decision he had made. I wasn't aware, but I was sure happy when he asked me to be his "official" girlfriend a few weeks later. The Proposal:What I thought was going to be a busy weekend celebrating Father's Day and moving to Oxford turned out to be my proposal day! (By now Hayden and I had been a couple for 4+ year. We had both graduated from college and started jobs.) I was hanging out with Landry, my future sister-in-law, and shopping for a cute outfit to wear out that night. I still cannot believe that Landry kept the secret. Hayden came to pick me up to join Landry and Hunter at Lost Pizza for a few drinks before our dinner reservation elsewhere. I was shocked as I walked up the steps to the balcony to find our family and friends there! I turned around and Hayden was down on one knee. It was such a great surprise and memorable day! Hayden and I have made so many memories over the last 4+ years. We have seen each other through many happy and stressful times, hardships, and even losses. We have grown individually and as a couple. We have pushed each other to seek God more and to rely on his love, word, and plans. We have much to learn and covet your prayers as we move forward in our commitment to each other.
