Our Story

While thinking about our story it is truly a one-of-a-kind story. It all started March 2024. I received a friend’s request on Facebook from a guy named Tyler East, I approved it thinking to myself why not. Not long after we became friends on Facebook did, we started messaging each other. After talking for a while we both thought why not go on a date. March 20th was truly a day to remember. He pulled up to pick me up for our first date with orange roses and a bear. I cannot forget the cowboy hat. While on our first date we went out to eat at Olive Garden, after eating we went on a walk by the river. We laughed and talked for about 2 hours getting to know each other a little more. So, after talking and going on many more dates. April 1, 2024, we started dating. We always joke around about it being on April fools. Though out are relationship we have grown to love each other more but most important we have always but God first in everything we do. We shared many crazy memories being together from going fishing together and hunting together as a couple that loves the outdoors. We have supported each other no matter what. So come September we went on vacation to visit some of his family in Virginia. This was a trip we both will not forget, from the car ride there to spending a week with family, we got to know each other better. Throughout October and November, we spent time with family and friends. While not only was the beginning of our journey together was filled with many memories. The month of December was truly one we both will remember from going hunting the 23rd and Tyler shooting the buck of his dream. We spent time with both of our families with Christmas just two days away. Christmas Day was finally here are first Christmas together as a couple. Little did I know he had something planned. That day was a day we both will never forget. While spending time with my family Christmas afternoon relaxing and spending time with family little did, I know I had one present left. The moment I have always dreamed of was happening. I come from outside my brother’s house and seat down to relax. Next thing I know Tyler had a different plan. He started walking in front of me and got down on one knee and said, “Makayla Ann Will you Marry me?.” This was the easiest yes, I have ever said. After saying yes, I looked at my dad and he had a big smile on his face. Now our journey as not only a dating couple has ended but are journey as an engaged couple has begun. Soon before we know it, we will become Mr. and Mrs East.
