Prior to meeting, Rachel and Tyler were two kindhearted people just trying to find the right match. Rachel was a sweetheart who just needed someone to give her the chance to show the love that she’s had inside her for years. Tyler was a caring, loving man who sought to find someone who he could truly connect with.

Their fortune took a turn for the better when they matched on Hinge in December 2020. While Tyler had his 1st bout of COVID over Christmas, he gave Rachel a call. Something clicked and he knew she was someone worth taking a chance on. As soon as he got out of quarantine, he asked her out.

Rachel and Tyler met on January 1st, 2021 at Barretts Waterfront in Fall River, MA. Despite lackluster wait service and a few missteps by Tyler, Rachel saw something in him and gave Tyler a 2nd date. He did not waste it. Over the next few months, their connection grew into something special. On April 17, Tyler nervously told Rachel he loved her along the Boston Harbor. Thankfully, she said it back.

In the years since, Rachel and Tyler have shared exciting and transformative moments that have shaped their journey. Tyler earned his Master’s degree from Brown University and began his career in the Rhode Island State Government with Rachel by his side to support him. Rachel gave Tyler the inspiration to learn to cook (and do it well) while Tyler showed Rachel she actually likes tomatoes. They introduced each other to great groups of friends who are cornerstones in their lives and have been there when they need them. Along the way, they have had their fair share of adventuring to unique and exciting destinations such as New York City, New Mexico, Baltimore, North Carolina, Gettysburg and much more!

This beautiful journey blossomed to the biggest moment of their lives on August 10th, 2024. While visiting Roger Williams Botanical Garden in Providence, RI, Tyler fell to one knee, professed his love for Rachel, and asked her to marry him. She said yes—and they celebrated with all their friends, family, and loved ones at the Malted Barley.

The beautiful couple currently lives in North Providence, RI with their two sweet (and definitely spoiled) cats Sir Yukon (Yukie) Cornelius and Angel. They can’t wait to celebrate their wedding with all of you on June 6th, 2026, and begin the next chapter of this incredible journey—together.
