Luana and I met using a dating app. The day that we matched I messaged Luana to meet for a date the very next day to which she responded "That seems a little soon! We should learn more about each other before our first date!" I then proceeded to ask her questions all about her life and her journey to the United States and she asked me all about my life. I gave it an entire hour before asking her again for a date the very next day to which she laughed and said yes! Our first date was at an Italian restaurant called Mezzaluna. Luana was still learning English at the time and I had unfortunately lost some of the hearing in one of my ears earlier that same month so our conversation consisted mostly of "I'm sorry can you repeat that" with a lot of laughter in between. We had a wonderful night together filled with fun and laughter. We felt an instant connection with each other that has grown into a true and deep love.
