My junior year of high school, I got a DM on Instagram from @ty13rkendrick. I didn't know him, didn't even follow him, but I thought he was adorable- and charming- so I agreed to go on a date with this boy. After getting lost trying to find my house, he rang the doorbell, shook my parents hands, and picked me up for our first date. Even though he had a nose bleed at our dinner, we had a blast. Tyler and I continued to date for a few months- movie dates, hanging out with friends- nothing serious, but we had a lot of fun. After those two months, we kept in touch off and on and were always on each other's minds. Fast forward 4 years later, I got another DM from none other than @ty13rkendrick himself. I once again fell victim to his charm and good looks and agreed to another date. He took me to an Eric Church concert where we sang our lungs out and had the best time ever. We have been inseparable ever since! We still did all the fun stuff we used to do in high school, but it got more serious this time. Several months after that second "first" date, we went to Big Cedar Lodge on a family vacation. Tyler had me and everyone else -besides my parents, who he had asked to marry me months in advance- convinced that we were just taking family pictures. When it was our time in front of the camera, he recited a bible verse and told me why he loved me- that's when I knew it wasn't ~just~ family pictures. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him- of course I said yes! There was lots of happy tears and celebrating that night- it truly was the BEST day ever. Since then, we have done lots of wedding planning and daydreaming about June 8th, 2024- which will become our new BEST day ever.
