We met at New Life Sanctuary Church in 2020, when Tyler and a group of his friends started attending there. It took a while for a friendship to develop, but in hindsight, it is clear that the Lord was working in the background. People tried to set us up, but that only really pushed us away from each other, partly due to fear and maybe a bit of pride. We are thankful to friends and family who saw that there could be something beautiful between us and chose to pray for us, allowing the Lord to do His work in out hearts and prepare us for each other.


In May of 2023, we started spending a lot more time together and talked every day. We saw the Mario movie, went to The Hive and went long boarding a couple of times. On May 19th, Tyler asked Cassie out on a date, without actually clarifying it was a date. After a few days of confusion, on May 25th, Tyler officially asked Cassie to start dating (she quickly said yes, before he could change his mind).


It didn’t take long for us to know that this was what the Lord had planned for us. About a week or so into the relationship, we discussed our intentions and goals in life, agreeing almost completely on every single point we discussed.


Tyler proposed on September 29th, 2023, after just over four months of dating. Those four months felt like years, while the same amount of time being engaged seems to have flown by. We chose May 25th for our wedding because its the day we started dating. We are both really looking forward to spending this most special day with you!
