On Valentine's Day 2021, as Alyssa sat at home with her mom watching romcoms, Alyssa's mom told her, in true romcom fashion, to get out of her comfort zone and sign up on a dating site. Alyssa begrudgingly agreed but stated, "There is absolutely no chance that she would find someone that she would like online."

Surprise! Within two swipes a cute boy she remembered from high school popped up and that was Tyler.

Now Tyler had reached out to Alyssa in the past and had even told his buddy Ryan in college, "One day I will take that girl on a date."

The only glitch in this love story, at the time, was that Tyler was working for Alyssa's uncle, which led to them having to keep their new relationship a secret. After one date Alyssa and Tyler knew that this was something special and they decided they could start to tell their loved ones that they had found the one.

Fast forward to December 29, 2022, while walking through their favorite place, the zoo, looking at Christmas lights, Tyler got down on one knee and the rest was history.
