Q + A

When do I need to RSVP by?

Please RSVP no later than May 8th, 2025. The earlier the better! You can RSVP on the RSVP tab here on the website.

What do I do if I can't make it?

You will be dearly missed! If you cannot make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP "not attending" so we can plan accordingly. Thank you!

Is there a dress code for the wedding?

Yes! The dress code is Cocktail Attire (semi-formal). For men: A suit & tie, or khakis and a nice button up with dress shoes. For women: Cocktail dresses or nice jumpsuits. What to avoid: Jeans, sneakers/flip flops, baseball caps, and any shades of white (or pale colors that may be seen as white). Thank you for understanding and respecting our request.

When should I arrive for the ceremony?

The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00 pm. We request that you arrive no later than 4:30 pm so that you may be seated before the ceremony begins. If you are late to the ceremony, please do not walk down the aisle to try and find your seat. While we want all of our family and friends there, we would appreciate if you would either stand off to the side, find a seat in the very back, or wait to join us until the reception. Thank you for understanding!

Will there be parking at the venue?

Yes! There is a large parking lot that can accomodate all of our guests. You will turn into the venue, and the parking lot is located on the left hand side of the driveway. There will be signs indicating where to go. Handicap parking is available for guests who may need it.

Is there a hotel block

Yes! There is a hotel block reserved at the Holiday Inn in Aurora. The link to reserve a room is in the next text block.

Use this Hotel Block Link to book a room in our wedding block. Beware that if you use the link, it automatically sets you up for a two night stay. This can be changed by shifting the dates listed at the top of the page and pressing “search”.

You can also call the hotel and use the account name Runge Wedding. The hotel is also linked on the travel page of the website.

Will there be a shuttle serivce?

Unfortunately, the hotels do not offer a shuttle service. Please be responsible driving home from the wedding and either reserve a designated driver, call an Uber, or call for a ride.

Will the wedding and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony will take place outside in a grassy courtyard. The reception will take place in an open pole barn (with no AC). Please plan your outfit and shoe choices accordingly.

Can I take photos at the wedding?

We are having an "Unplugged Ceremony." This means that once the ceremony begins, we request that you silence your phones and put them away. After the ceremony, and during the reception, we encourage you to take as many photos as you would like, and don't forget to share them with us!

Can I bring my children?

We encourage you to use this evening as a "night out" for yourselves! As much as we love your little ones, due to meeting maximum capacity at the venue, children under the age of 18 are not invited. Your understanding is so deeply appreciated.

Can I bring a plus one?

Not everyone will be able to have a plus one. While we wish we could accommodate everyone to have a plus one, our venue does have a cap of the amount of guests we can have. It will be indicated on your envelope if you may bring a plus one. Most of the envelopes will say "and guest." If your envelope says this, then yes, you may bring a plus one.

Will there be an open bar?

Yes! The drinks are on us, and the hangover is on you! Beer, wine, seltzers, hard liquor, and non-alcoholic beverages/mixers will be provided free of charge. For this reason, we encourage you to carpool, order an uber/lyft, or reserve a designated driver. Please make sure you have a way to get home safely.

What type of food will be served and will there be options for guests with dietary restrictions and/or allergies?

The wedding will be catered by South Moon BBQ. Food options include pulled pork and brisket sandwiches. Sides include a salad, fried potato salad, mac n cheese, and baked beans. The pulled pork, brisket, barbeque sauces, baked beans and salad are gluten free and dairy free.

If I have any other questions, who should I contact?

You can contact either Tyler or Tessa with any questions. However, we request that you refrain from reaching out to us on July 10th and July 11th. If you have an urgent question on the 10th/11th (and we truly mean urgent), please contact the maid of honor, Jocelyn Farwell, or one of the best men, Andy Vanlanduyt or Peter Saucedo
