Our Wedding

Our spark began on the night of September 18th, 2021 at Finnigan's cove, a legendary dive bar in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Tyler was in town for a friend's wedding and Abby was attending graduate school at James Madison University. "Finnys" is notorious among students and townies alike for their culture of cigs inside, endless Jell-O shots, and a guaranteed good time. Despite growing up living ten minutes from one another and attending the same high school five years apart, we had not crossed paths until this night. It only took us one conversation at Finnigan's Cove to feel as though we'd known each other for years. Though neither of us were looking to find a partner at the time, life had different plans for us. Over a short period of time our connection grew effortlessly, regardless of the long distance. Abby had already envisioned teaching in a beach town after graduate school, so the stars seemed to align even more since Tyler already lived in Virginia Beach. Some may say, it was like she hit $100 on black. Tyler had also fallen in love with Abby's two fur babies, Scrappy and Raven, so they decided they would live together to take the next step in growing their relationship. Moving in together was only the beginning of our journey. We have learned the ins and outs of one another, and found the things we bond over most. Traveling, exploring new foods and wines, and being with the dogs relaxing is how we enjoy spending most of our days. After Tyler realized he couldn't live without Abby's cooking and cleaning, he decided to pop the question on August 12th, 2023 in the Bahamas on a trip we took just the two of us. Tyler and Abby appreciate any version of quality time with each other, but also invest this love into those who they are surrounded by or love the most, friends and family. We cannot wait to spend our special day with each of you! Bring your best dance moves because as you all know, and Pitbull said it best, "ayyyee we like to partaaaay".

We are BIG foodies, and love several of these places. Chicks Oyster Bar is a great fun atmosphere, and places like Bay Local and Simple Eats are wonderful brunch places. If looking for something with an upscale ambiance, we'd recommend The Cavalier, or Orion's Rooftop bar - chef's kiss. If time allows, 10/10 recommend trying any of these places!
