Relationships are messy, beautiful, and everything in between. Tyler and Kayleen met in May 2017; a Tinder success story one might say. Tyler was living out of his van with his dog Kirra by his side, filling his life with snowboarding, skydiving, surfing and rockclimbing between Calgary, Revelstoke, Tofino, and Victoria. Kayleen was living in Victoria and finalized the purchase of her first sailboat on their first date. Tyler and Kayleen are no strangers to chasing dreams and when meeting each other it seemed like they had met each others match. Life and their relationship was fun and easy, but took a turn to be a bit more serious when Tyler was in a traumatic skydiving accident, Sept. 4, 2017.
Since then, Tyler and Kayleen have accomplished and overcome a lot together. Amputations, rehab, buying and living on a sailboat, supporting each others dreams like sailing to Mexico and winning gold at the Paralympics, competing on the Amazing Race Canada, and now marriage!
